PositionWatch has extensive handling of conditions where a trader performs an inventory (IN,ST) trade and accidently trades against themselves (wash trade). In such a condition, PositionWatch automatically notifies the trader with a popup notification message and delivers a notification email to the trader and compliance for immediately actioning. The wash trade screen will show the trade in RED until a cancellation transaction is received from the exchange for the wash trade, at which time the trade switches from red to green. The trader only sees their own wash trades while compliance sees all wash trades firm wide. All washes are stored in history for audit trail purposes.
